Identify needs for domestic airports.

  • Arrange for feasibility study and process for approval.
  • Arrange for airport design and construction.

Output : New airports

Outcome :
New domestic services.


Liaise with stakeholders to assess their needs and views on current policies.

  • Initiate research on new policy initiatives.
  • Consult stake-holders on research outcomes.
  • Evaluate various options recommended.
  • Seek Cabinet approval.

Output : New policies.

Outcome : Improved aviation services.


Meetings and Conferences.

Chair National Aviation Security Committee meetings.

Chair Airport Aviation Security Committee meetings.

Chair Facilitation Committee meetings.

Ensure that ICAO standards are applied in Fiji.

Ensure that appropriate legislations to enforce Security Measures are in place.

Output: National Civil Aviation Security Programme.
National Civil Aviation Security Training Programme.
National Air Transport Facilitation Programme.
Civil Aviation Acts and regulations

Outcome : Safe Air Services and quick arrival and departure procedures.
